BIOGRAPHY
 2006
2006 starts with David continuing to work on his solo album with producers Jay and Jake.

In March David sends davidsneddon.biz some more video diary clips - including a behind-the-scenes look at the studio in Windlesham where the guys do much of their writing and preliminary recording.

Also in March David gets to work on his MySpace page which will be a great way to get his music to a wider internet audience and communicate directly via his blogs.

March/April sees the first public airing of several tracks from the forthcoming album. On his own page David previews tracks Lady Lullaby and White Noise and on the Phonic 8 page fans can listen to clips from Insomnia and God Or No God.

Unfortunately in April David takes a nasty injury while playing football and is then laid up for 4 weeks with a broken ankle safely protected in a blue cast which David says he decorated to resemble a Saltire.

In May the cast has come off and David posts in his blog to inform fans that he's ready to start gigging.

July sees David return to the stage with a vigorish of gigs at The Bedford, High Barn, Ginglik, a festival at Canary Wharf, Oran Mor in Glasgow and the Dunstaffnage Music Festival. At such a wide variety of venues David was able to showcase his new material which was all performed with him behind the piano and with John Kielty on guitar. The performance at Oran Mor received a 5-star review from the Scottish Sunday Mail with new song 'Insomnia' being singled out for it's excellence.

August starts with David performing at a very special gig in Johnstone. The gig was held in order to raise funds for his Uncle Jim who is currently being treated for Motor Neurone Disease. Fans, friends and family gathered together on the evening of August 12th to raise funds to enable Jim to continue his treatment in the States. To promote the cause David gave a brief interview with Radio 5 Live. Other press included a feature in the Paisley Daily Express.

After a month or so of gigs, David and John perform their final two gigs before a well deserved break on the 15th and 16th August performing at The Cobden Club and The Troubadour. Both intimate, yet lovely venues, the guys delivered excellant performances to impressed crowds.

In August David also announces that due to the success of the first run of gigs he'll be releasing an EP in the near future to sell at gigs. After a brief holiday he's back in the studio recording during September.

On 18th September David performed his first gig without John Kielty or a band at the Rock N Roll Kabaret at The Troubadour. He performed four songs including two brand new tracks 'Johnny's Guitar' (about John Kielty) and 'Lisa' (about a friend from back home).

October saw David announce the title of his forthcoming EP. The EP called 'White Noise' will feature artwork created by David himself along with 2 brand new tracks currently unheard by fans. In October David also returned to perform gigs at The Cobden Club and The Bedford in Balham. David also took part in the Rainforest Jam festival in Soho in order to raise funds for STARO.

October also saw David invited to perform live at Barry Ferguson's MBE party in Scotland.

In November David performed live at The Betsey Trotwood, sister venue to The Water Rats. He also returned for another performance at The Troubadour. The Troubadour gig was the last one for John Kielty who is on his way to the USA in the new year. David also performed live at the turning on of the Christmas lights in Marylebone. After several years he performed Stop Living The Lie live for a packed crowd.

The Daily Record documented David's successful year as a songwriter by announcing that he's reached "Millionaire" status due to hits such as The Message for Nate James and a cover of Baby Get Higher for the Dutch singer Van Velzen.

In December David announced the release date and tracklisting for his EP 'White Noise'. The EP, due to be released in early 2007 features favourite tracks from gigs along with a brand new track 'Wish You Well'.

David also introduced fans to his new guitarist David Mullins in late 2006 with gigs at The Cobden and a full set at The High Barn. David Mullins takes the place of long-term songwriting partner John Kielty who after starring in Panto moves to America for a short while.

On 30th December David appears on 'Off The Ball's' final show of the year discussing Christmas Presents, New Years Resolutions and very Scottish football topics.
