BIOGRAPHY
 2005
After seeing in 2005 with a bang in Aberdeen, David and The Sham started the year in the Studio writing. However fans were in for a treat on February 14th when The Sham performed for the second time at The Bedford in Balham where they debuted new song 'One To Another'. A few weeks later, David and the band headed north for two gigs supporting Nigel Wilson's band 'The Freeloaders' in Sheffield and Scunthorpe.

In May David was joined by John Kielty and Harry Ward (The Martians) to perform at The Evolve Festival in Colne, Lancashire. The set, received by a large and enthusiastic crowd, incorporated both David's solo material, The Sham material and some favourite cover songs.

In July, it was announced that David was working on a new solo album. Speaking exclusively to the Record, David said: 'I'm so excited about recording my solo album and relaunching my career. David confirmed this was true and let us know that Jake Gosling and Jay Mein are producing the album, which will include favourite The Sham track 'No More Words'. Meanwhile, The Sham, as a project is shelved for the moment however they will be releasing another download single in the future.

Also in July, David conquered his fear of "breaking the interweb" to foray onto the davidsneddon.biz forums and post a message to fans. He talks about recording the first track on his album "Leave You Like I should" - a co-write between himself and John Kielty who rented a remote cottage together to concentrate on song writing without distraction.

Throughout 2005, David has continued his work with Nate James. David contributed co-writes to Nate's album 'Set The Tone' and Nate has done a co-write with David for David's forthcoming album. Nate released his funky and soulful album 'Set The Tone' in August, and released single 'Universal' in July, followed by 'The Message' in October.

In September, David attended the opening for the New Struan, a charity he's supported for many years as a patron of the Scottish Society for Autism. The opening culminated in a Charity Ball at which David gave a live performance of special song 'Heart' which he recorded exclusively for the charity to use.

Towards the end of the year David posted on the davidsneddon.biz forum to let fans know that he and the guys have been recording a video diary showing the behind-the-scenes making of the album. Some teaser-clips can be found via the front page of the site.
